These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Detail and Shine Valeting to the customer ("you").
By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. Our Services
1.1 We provide professional mobile valeting and detailing services at a location agreed in advance.
1.2 All services are carried out with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1.3 Results may vary depending on the age, condition, and materials of the vehicle. While we strive for exceptional results, we cannot guarantee the complete removal of all stains, odours, scratches, or defects.

2. Bookings & Vehicle Condition
2.1 Bookings may be made online, by telephone, or via written message.
2.2 Prices are quoted based on the vehicle size and condition as described at the time of booking.
2.3 Should the vehicle be in a materially poorer condition than stated, we reserve the right to amend the price or decline to proceed. Any adjustment will be discussed and agreed prior to continuing.

3. Payment Terms
3.1 Payment is due in full upon completion of the service, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
3.2 We accept [cash / card / bank transfer].
3.3 Late or non-payment may result in refusal of future bookings.

4. Cancellations & Amendments
4.1 We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
4.2 Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a charge of up to 50% of the booking value.
4.3 Missed appointments, denial of access, or no-shows may be charged in full.
4.4 These provisions do not affect your statutory rights.

5.1 You are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is legally parked and safely accessible at the agreed time.
5.2 Where access to water or electricity is required, this must be agreed in advance.
5.3 We reserve the right to refuse or suspend work if the location is unsafe, unsuitable, or unlawful.

6. Personal Belongings
6.1 Please ensure all personal belongings are removed prior to the appointment.
6.2 We cannot accept responsibility for loss of or damage to items left within the vehicle.

7. Liability & Existing Damage
7.1 We take the utmost care while working on your vehicle.
7.2 We cannot be held liable for:
• Pre-existing damage or wear
• Mechanical, electrical, or electronic faults
• Damage arising from poor prior repairs, aftermarket modifications, or fragile materials
7.3 Any concerns must be raised before our departure, allowing us the opportunity to assess and address them.

8. Luxury Vehicles, Specialist Finishes & Ceramic Coatings
8.1 Vehicles fitted with specialist, luxury, or performance finishes — including but not limited to soft clear coats, matte or satin paint, PPF (paint protection film), vinyl wraps, carbon fibre, Alcantara, piano black trim, or bespoke interior materials — require additional care and may respond differently to valeting or detailing processes.
8.2 While every precaution is taken, we cannot guarantee outcomes on vehicles with delicate, aged, resprayed, or previously repaired surfaces, or where manufacturer-approved methods are unclear or unavailable.
8.3 Ceramic coating services enhance gloss, protection, and ease of maintenance but do not render a vehicle damage-proof. Ceramic coatings will not prevent stone chips, scratches, swirl marks, water spotting, or wear caused by improper washing, environmental exposure, or regular use.
8.4 Coating durability and performance depend on vehicle condition, preparation, aftercare, mileage, storage, and environmental factors. Any stated longevity is an estimate only and not a guarantee.
8.5 Customers must disclose any existing coatings, paint protection film (PPF), resprayed panels, or previous detailing treatments prior to service. Failure to do so may affect results and limits our liability.
8.6 We are not responsible for deterioration, defects, or failure of coatings or finishes caused by:
• Poor prior workmanship
• Incompatible or undisclosed products
• Incorrect aftercare or maintenance
• Automated car washes, aggressive chemicals, or third-party services
8.7 Ceramic coatings and specialist treatments are considered cosmetic enhancement services. No warranty is provided unless expressly stated in writing.

9. Weather Conditions
9.1 As a mobile service, appointments are subject to weather conditions.
9.2 In cases of adverse weather (including heavy rain, frost, snow, high winds, or extreme temperatures), we may reschedule the booking.
9.3 Weather-related rescheduling will not incur a fee.

10. Quality Assurance
10.1 Should you be dissatisfied with any aspect of the service, please notify us immediately upon completion.
10.2 We will endeavour to resolve any concerns promptly and professionally.
10.3 Refunds are not provided once the service has been completed and accepted, except where required by law.

11.1 While we always aim to arrive at the scheduled time, delays may occur due to traffic, weather, or earlier appointments.
11.2 Such delays do not entitle the customer to a refund.

12.1 We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service where:
• The vehicle presents a health or safety risk
• Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour occurs
• Material information provided at booking is inaccurate or misleading

13.1 Gift vouchers are non-refundable and non-transferable.
13.2 Vouchers must be redeemed prior to the stated expiry date.
